In this course, we examine some of the philosophic implications of the issue of sex. Firstly we examine the range and type of sexual experiences and how these might relate to social practices such as marriage. Secondly we examine the range of moral attitudes to some key questions in sex. On what moral grounds do we judge seduction, adultery, or incest? Finally we examine some of the metaphysical presuppositions that lie behind various issues in sex such as free-will and determinism.
